The Princess of Wales shared a behind the scenes video of the King’s birthday parade.

The Royal Family attended celebrations for the King at Trooping the Colour today. Insider footage released on Kate and Prince William’s social media account earlier today show Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte preparing to step into the Glass Coach carriage for the parade.

The caption on the X post said: “All set for The King's Birthday Parade!” At the time of writing, the post has been viewed over 1.1million times on the app.

Young Louis, six, casually leaned against the Buckingham Palace entrance wall while his older siblings stood politely waiting alongside their mum, attending her first public event since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Louis, dressed in navy suit, blue tie and white shirt like his brother, also waved as the proceedings developed.

Kate and Princess Charlotte co-ordinated the colour of their outfits today with a nautical theme in a touching mother-daughter tribute. Kate wore a snow white Jenny Packham dress, along with Philip Treacy hat and an Irish Guards Regimental Brooch due to Kate being a Colonel of the Irish Guards.

Kate has a number of military appointments to her name, including being an Honorary Canadian Ranger, Honorary Air Commandant in the Royal Air Force Cadets, a Commodore-in-Chief in the Fleet Air Arm, and Colonel-in-Chief in the 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards. Reversing the colours worn by Kate, Charlotte wore a black pinafore with ivory trim and tie.

In a message yesterday, Kate sad she had been "blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement" but added she is not "out of the woods yet."

In a video, Kate said: "I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.

"I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal."
