Tyson Fury knows he will have to rematch Oleksandr Usyk regardless of the result in their first fight tonight.
Fury takes on Usyk to crown the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. They will do so at the third attempt after delays in first December and then February, but are set to meet again in October after signing a two-fight deal last year.
And Fury said of the rematch: "Double bubble, innit? What are we in this for? Money. So if I can get double bubble for one job, fantastic. Not much more to be said. I’ll take double bubble out of everything, if I can. I took treble bubble out of the Wilder one!"
Fury is also on a collision course with Anthony Joshua who will be ringside in Riyadh on Saturday night. Joshua will return to the ring in September against the winner of Daniel Dubois ' fight with Filip Hrgovic this summer which is likely to be for the IBF world title.
And Fury insists there is no chance Joshua can push his way to the front of the queue and will instead have to wait until next year. "There’s not much he can build because we got two-fight deals," he added. "So he can build up what he wants to, he has to wait until it’s all over, then we can negotiate or whatever.
Paris Fury speaks out on pregnancy 'rumours' in loved up NYE post with Tyson"I think now Saudis are involved and His Excellency is controlling everything, and he can make these fights like that, because money is not a problem and it’s always about money in these deals, why they don’t get made. So when money is no object – being then it’s easy. It’s easy to make. All of the fights are easy to make. You know, whatever fights are out there in any weight division, the Turk will make them, easy."
On the prospect of the all-British clash, Fury's promoter Frank Warren added: "There’s obviously a rematch clause but if Tyson comes through, of course we want to see the big fight between Fury and AJ, but I don’t think that will be the fight afterwards. I don’t think it will be because there is so much money involved for the loser of this fight.
"I don’t know what sort of step-aside money you’d give them to do that. It would only happen if someone was out of action after this first fight - that would be a thing. But it will come around quick. Joshua will fight the winner in February."
