Brooklyn Beckham has issued an emotional statement following family tragedy.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham suffered heartbreak after his wife Nicola Peltz's grandmother died at the age of 95. Bunny was actress Nicola's maid of honour at their lavish wedding in 2022. She passed away on Thursday as Nicola's brother Bradly broke the news, penning a sweet tribute on his Instagram.

Brooklyn has since shared his own message alongside a series of photos of himself with Bunny. He said: "Naunni thank you for being you. You were the sweetest and happiest person ever and you taught me to find joy in everything. Thank you for always making everyone smile, you made everyone’s whose lives you touched infinitely better. I’m so lucky to have had the honour of being your grandson for the past 4 years x I promise to take care of Nicola and your family x I will miss you so much x I love you so much xxxxxxx."

Nicola's brother previously shared: "Today, we lost my angel on earth. She was not only the happiest but one of my favorite souls I ever came across. She was the light that would brighten your day. Her heart was so big that you could feel it when she smiled, and in turn make you smile. May her soul rest in peace and in paradise in heaven. I love you Bunny."

Just three weeks ago, Brooklyn's wife Nicola shared a touching message to her grandma. She said: "Being with you is literally magic i love being by your side thank you for choosing me to be your granddaughter i more than love you naunni our time together is so precious to me thank you for teaching me how to love others so deeply and fiercely. there isn’t a moment next to you i take for granted your laugh is the best sound in the world and i want to hear it for the rest of my life."

Earlier this year, Nicola dominated headlines after skipping her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham's birthday bash. She spoke out at the time, revealing she was spending time with her grandmother. In April, the 29-year-old shared a photo of David and Victoria Beckham with their children before the 50th birthday party and wrote some words to her fashion designer mother-in-law as to why she could not be with Brooklyn at the star-studded celebration.

"Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham I'm so sad I'm not there to celebrate you and hug you! Sending all my love from me and my naunni [white love heart emoji] I miss you all so much!"
