This year’s Chelsea Flower Show is in full swing, and although we’re admiring the amazing blooms and designs presented at the event, we also can’t help but enjoy some serious summer outfit inspiration that the guests are providing too. Among the stunning florals and bold prints, Beverley Knight’s green maxi dress stood out from the crowd for both its simplicity and versatility, and we can already tell it’s going to be a great addition to our summer wardrobes.

The singer wore Pretty Lavish’s Khloe Knit Maxi Dress, for the occasion, with the simple lime green colour and figure-flattering fit making it the perfect choice for the sunny weather.

Although a knitted dress might not be your natural go-to when the weather warms up, the dress is made from a lightweight, super stretchy fine knit fabric that keeps it lightweight and comfortable. Its high halter neckline fastens at the back of your neck and gives a cut out, open back design that helps keep you cool and bare a little bit of skin whilst still giving plenty of coverage.

The knitted material has just enough weight to it for the dress to hang beautifully, skimming over your figure and flattering your shape, and although it has a classic bodycon fit, it doesn’t cling to any lumps or bump. Its maxi length also means it's a great pick for plenty of summer occasions, from evening wedding receptions to cocktails or brunch with friends.

You can just as easily team the dress with a pair of strappy stilettos and a clutch for more formal occasions, or copy Beverley’s style and pair it with some flat sandals in a neutral colour and a shoulder bag. You could also just as easily wear it with some platform boots and a leather jacket in the autumn, making it versatile enough to wear all year round.

Its lime green hue might be trending this season, but if it’s not your colour you can also pick up the dress in orange, red or blue colourways, all of which are the perfect vibrant choice for the sunny weather.

If you prefer a slightly beachier look, Superdry’s Crochet Halter Maxi Dress, , comes in a bold kelly green shade and has a similar halter neckline and maxi length. However, rather than the fine knit style of Beverley’s Pretty Lavish dress, it has a more open weave crochet style knit with subtle patterns throughout, making it just as ideal for the beach as it is for evening drinks on holiday. We know what we’ll be adding to our wardrobes this week!
