Tom Brady recently dished out some sage advice to rookie quarterbacks where he emphasized teamwork over personal branding. The breakfast event, which also featured rapper Jay-Z and billionaire CEO Michael Rubin, saw Brady engaging with top picks like Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Malik Nabers, and Brock Bowers.

Videos from the gathering show Brady expressing his frustration with players who focus too much on self-promotion. In a clip posted by Rubin, Brady emphasized, "When you have 53 guys on the team, you think it's about you. It ain't about you. It's about us. And the biggest problem I see with a lot of the young players today, you guys are making it too much about I and me."

He added, "Because of social media, because of branding and all that. It's fine... you're not going to win. There's a difference between being a star and being a champion."

Celebrated as one of the greatest ever, Brady clinched seven Super Bowl titles during his career, including six with the New England Patriots under coach Bill Belichick, reports the Mirror US.

Despite not being touted as the best quarterback due to his perceived below-average athleticism, Brady consistently proved doubters wrong and dominated in the NFL for years.

He shared summary of his success secret with rookies stating: "Every day of practice is important. You know why? Because when I was on the Patriots and we had 20 years of winning, every day was a big day. I treated a preseason game, I treated a regular season game like it was a Super Bowl. So when I got to the Super Bowl, it was just another day for me."

Positioned next to him was the first overall pick Williams, now announced as the Chicago Bears' starting player and labelled a talent of the generation.

In related news, an image featuring Brady alongside Maye, considered to be the future shot-caller for the Patriots in light of Brady's 2020 departure, was also posted by Rubin.
