Actress Nina Dobrev has been injured in a biking accident and has taken to Instagram to share her journey.
The star of The Vampire Diaries posted two pictures - the first showcasing herself all dressed up in black riding gear, seated on a black motorcycle outdoors. In contrast, the second image displayed the star lying uncomfortably on a hospital bed, dressed in a typical blue hospital gown complete with neck and knee braces.
The post from May 20 came with the caption "how it started vs how it's going" accompanied by an emoji featuring a bandaged head.

In a subsequent Instagram story, Dobrev shared a gloomy snap of herself laid up in the hospital bed, clearly displaying her neck and knee braces. An unidentified individual could be glimpsed, standing in the corner of the room clad in beige trousers.

Friends, colleagues and fans filled her comment section, sharing their concern and well wishes for the actress. "Just keeping things on brand," jested her boyfriend, the former professional snowboarder. The couple have been together since 2020.
Claire Holt, a fellow actress and colleague from The Vampire Diaries reached out, writing: "Noooo so sorry! Feel better".
"That's my girl! Obviously wouldn't make jokes if you were not ok..." was the supportive shout from her best mate and Fresh Vine Wine business collaborator, Julianne Hough. One fan jokingly exclaimed: "GIRL! ! YOUR OUTDOOR PRIVILEGES HAVE BEEN REVOKED".
Despite the dramatic incident, she didn't elaborate on the severity of her injuries or what exactly went wrong. The 35 year old has a track record for thrill-seeking; with her social media filled with snaps of skydiving, rock climbing, bungee-jumping, swimming with sharks, wakeboarding and riding water-powered hoverboards.
During a break from shooting Vampire Diaries she even embarked on a solo backpacking trip around Europe and East Asia as she confessed to Harper Bazaar in their September 2017 issue. At the time, she admitted that her travels were pretty spontaneous, never booking hotel rooms or planning an itinerary.
She offered a glimpse into her adventurous spirit to Harper Bazaar, saying: "My rule of thumb is, I'll try anything once," before later admitting: "I have a healthy-or possibly unhealthy-obsession with trying things for the first time."
