Peter Andre praised daughter Princess' work ethic but reminded the soon-to-be 17-year-old that's she not an adult yet.
The teenager, who celebrates her birthday last this month, has landed her first job after becoming the face of Superdrug’s own brand range . Her new role means she will support the development of new products and the make-up mad daughter of Katie Price deserves the opportunity, her dad says.
Pete clearly has something planned for her big day on June 29 and can't believe his little girl is growing so fast. Writing in his latest OK! Magazine column, he spoke about a the surprise in store for her and says he is so happy at the the person see is growing up to be.
He wrote: "I can’t believe Princess is turning 17 next week! I’m sure we’ll have something exciting planned for it – watch this space. I keep joking that she’s still got a year to go until she’s an adult. In all honesty, I’m so proud of the person she’s turned into – she works incredibly hard and has the best heart."
He wasn't so free-flowing in his praise last week. Pete screamed in terror and held on for dear life as Princess reached a major but slightly concerning milestone. The 51-year-old shared a clip of himself in a car as his 16-year-old sat in the driving seat. As she rolled her eyes at her famous dad, Pete captioned the video: “POV: When your daughter’s about to get her licence.” He then asked his 1.9 million followers: “Anyone else got a 17 year old that’s about to drive for the first time? God help us!”
Peter Andre shares pride as children Princess & Junior make major career stepsPrincess has shared her aspirations of becoming a top TV presenter, much like glamorous Love Island host Maya Jama. With an existing partnership with the clothing brand PrettyLittleThing, Princess outlined her future ambitions during a Q&A with fans. Responding to a query about her next steps, she excitedly revealed: "I'll be doing social media and private beauty training xx sooooo excited."
Princess also spoke about her dad and it appears he may be mellowing as his kids get a little older. She said: “When we were younger, he was more strict. As you get older and you have more freedom, it changes. He’s strict in the sense that he has house rules, but he’s fair.”
Siblings Princess and Junior have so much going on but one career move they’re both keen to make at some point would be a trip into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle - which is where their parents famously met back in 2004. Some 20 years on, could they be appearing?
“We’d love to do I’m A Celebrity… It’s where our parents met, so it’s why we’re here in the first place,” Junior said. Princess also seems up for it and she added: “We’d have to do it together, but that would be fun. I’d be terrified, but it would be so iconic.”
