There was an outpouring of love and affection for the Royal Family this weekend as they united for the King's official birthday celebrations.
Kate, Princess of Wales, made her highly-anticipated return to the public stage for the first time since sharing news of her cancer diagnosis. And her appearance led to jubilation on the streets of London, with huge crowds turning out despite the inclement weather.
It was a different story over in California. Prince Harry, who was reportedly not invited to attend Trooping the Colour, kept a low profile - in complete contrast to the rest of his family.
With photos from the event dominating newspapers worldwide, Harry and his wife Meghan were no doubt acutely aware of the gulf that still exists between them and the royals.
Undoubtedly, if the Sussexes weren't estranged from the rest of the Family, they would have most likely been in attendance at the event. Instead, they are thought to have spent the weekend at their home in Montecito, California.
Meghan Markle 'to unleash her own memoirs' as Prince Harry's drops next weekAnd there was no public acknowledgement of Father's Day from the couple, who share two young children, Archie and Lilibet.
Meanwhile, royal fans were treated to a striking new photograph of Prince William with his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - taken by none other than Kate.
The snapshot shows William with his back to the camera as he embraces his sons and daughter as they stand on a sand dune overlooking a beach. "We love you, Papa. Happy Father's Day G, C & L," the caption of the post read, marking the first time his children have been allowed to make a public statement.
Earlier in the day, the Prince of Wales posted a throwback image of himself as a child to celebrate his own father, King Charles, on the special day. The sweet image showed him playing in the garden with the King, 75, as he wrote, "Happy Father's Day, Pa. W."
Prince Harry most recently returned to his home country in May to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games. However, he did not reunite with his father. He cited the King's 'full schedule', but this was called into question by claims that Charles had offered Harry royal accommodation, which was refused.
The father and son last saw each other in February when Harry flew to London to see the King amid news of the monarch's cancer diagnosis. Their meeting lasted just 45 minutes.
Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as working royals in 2020, have repeatedly aired their grievances with the royal family through interviews, their Netflix series, and the Duke's memoir, Spare.
Meanwhile, over the weekend it also emerged that the Sussexes have parted ways with Spotify less than a year after debuting their podcast Archetypes, despite landing a multi-year partnership with the audio streaming service for £156m.
Spotify and Archewell Audio said in a joint statement that the decision was mutual. But a report by The Wall Street Journal claimed that the couple did not meet "the productivity benchmarks required to receive the full payout from the deal", with Meghan releasing only 12 episodes of Archetypes since the partnership began.
