A mum was left stunned after her video doorbell caught a stranger taking a tumble in her garden at the ungodly hour of 4am.
Kellie Evans, from Bridgend, Wales, was fast asleep when her phone buzzed with an alert of movement outside her house early Sunday morning. Thinking it might be one of her sons wandering about, she quickly alerted her husband Dominic and dashed towards the front door. However, peering out the window, Dominic realised the figure outside wasn't family but an intruder.
He bellowed "what are you doing? " at the unexpected visitor, who promptly scarpered. Once back inside, the couple reviewed the camera footage and couldn't believe their eyes. The video showed a man clumsily ambling through their front garden before taking a spill, reports Wales Online.
Mrs Evans said: "We'd been out last night to an event - we never go out, got back home and went to sleep at about midnight. At around 4am, I was alerted to the Ring alert on my phone, and it turned out to be that guy. It was only when we got back in and locked all the doors again and watched the video back that I saw the extent to actually how funny it was. I thought 'What are the chances of catching that?
"I was laughing, and I've probably watched it 100 times today, and it is probably just as funny as when I watched it for the first time. You feel sorry for the man at the same time, as you think, 'Oh, that must have hurt'. You could see he had his phone out, and he seemed quite stumbly.

' being covered in bruises, as clearly he will not remember himself. Without a Ring doorbell we would never have known that someone had been out and stumbling around in our garden."
