You'll never lose a TikTok video again thanks to this hack.

If you're an avid TikTok user, you'll know the pain of opening the app and finding a hilarious video you want to send to your friends, only to accidentally refresh your For You page, meaning it's lost forever. Or is it?

Now a woman shared a "genius" hack described by social media users as a "game changer", as it allows you to find those lost videos in mere seconds. With just a few clicks, you can locate all the clips you've watched recently without having to scroll for hours hoping it comes up again.

In a video shared by @trifidmedia, a woman named Haya acted out a scene in which she said she was watching a clip but accidentally refreshed the page before she was finished, so it was lost forever.

But another woman, Jana, explained to her she could get her watch history up with just a few simple steps. She said: "So we're going to go on TikTok, and then we're going to go on our search page. Type in a period [full stop] and click search.

"Then you're going to get the option to view your watch history right away. Click on it, and it's going to show you the most recent videos you've ever watched. And there you have it."

We tested the hack ourselves and can confirm it works - but it's not the only way you can find your watch history. You can also open up your settings and head to the Activity Centre, where you'll be able to find options including your watch history, comment history, search history, and any posts you've recently deleted.

Using the trick in the video definitely involves less steps than the settings method though, and people online hailed it as a "game changer" for those who love to scroll TikTok for hours on end.

One person said: "Love this! Much better than faffing around going into settings."

Another added: "Whaaat?! It's a game changer." While a third also wrote: "That was very helpful!"
