Melania Trump's ex-aide claims that her marriage to Donald was a 'mirage' created by producers - but her presence got them all the way to the White House.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who once served as Melania's senior adviser, posted a clip on X showing the old intro to Donald's 'The Apprentice' show. The clip shows a quick moment of him coming home to Melania holding a child. Wolkoff writes, "Many may think "DADDY'S HOME" is a Father's Day video. Nope! Millions of Americans watched The Apprentice. Donald was a household name. He needed a woman who looked and played the part and let him be the star. Marrying Melania and making her a Vogue Cover model -legitimized them both."

As the then-real estate heir was in dire straights and needed his show, The Apprentice, to work - the producers figured a woman like Melania would get him far. "What catapulted Donald J. Trump 'businessman' and his 'supermodel' wife to the White House was a mirage created by Survivor producer Mark Burnett and NBC boss Jeff Zucker," Wolkoff continued.

Donald Trump married Melania Knauss (her maiden name) in a huge to-do in Palm Beach in 2005. Barron Trump, now 18 and 6'7, was born in 2006.

Even Donald has admitted that his stardom on The Apprentice is what eventually propelled him to the White House, with his catchphrase, 'you're fired,' making far more of an impression than his real estate skills. Long before he was a convicted felon, he was an eligible bachelor, and his second marriage to Marla Maples wasn't going well.

According to Melania's former friend, an heir like that needed a model of a wife.

Winston Wolkoff previously appeared on CNN after Trump was found guilty of 34 criminal counts of falsifying documents to cover up a hush money payment to former pornstar Stormy Daniels in an effort to subvert the 2016 election.

Wolkoff suggested that Melania's coldness on Father's Day didn't go unnoticed. She didn't post anything congratulating Donald, despite the president-turned-convicted-felon's post last month honoring her on Mother's Day.

"Donald finally got caught, and along the way, Melania knew exactly who she married. She knew that this was a transactional marriage," Winston Wolkoff said.

"She became a top model, he became a loving, doting father, and it set them up for their run for the White House," she said.

Melania herself has always managed to remain a bit of an enigma, despite her short stint as First Lady. Trump has previously revealed that Melania is absent from his 2024 presidential campaign due to her commitment as a mother to their 17-year-old son, Barron.

But even now that Barron is about to graduate high school, it's unlikely we'll see Melania out on the road too often. During the 2016 and 2020 campaigns, Melania often chose to stay home while Donald was on the campaign trail.

In a 2015 interview with 20/20, she explained her decision, stating that she wanted to be there for Barron, who was nine then. But with Barron off to college - who knows what's in store for Trump's model wife.
