Celebrity Masterchef came knocking in 2021, and she made it to the semi-finals of Dancing On Ice later that year.

She also won gameshow Celebrity Circle beating the likes of Blue's Duncan James and Denise Van Outen.

Lady Leshurr, 36, has appeared as a guest panellist on ITV's Loose Women.

But in 2022 she was accused of two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The star, real name Melesha O'Garro, denied biting and punching her former girlfriend during a late night dispute and was found not guilty - but said the case "ruined my life".

She said: "For the past year I’ve been battling a court case from people that accused me of stalking, harassing and biting them but I was the victim. I was attacked and bitten by a dog and made out to be the aggressor.

"For a whole year people have deserted me, dropped me from deals, and didn’t want to work with me any more. For a whole year I have had no income."

She went on: "My brand/career has been ruined regardless no matter the outcome, but at least I have a clean record and can FINALLY get on with my life."

Leshurr is now preparing to put herself to the ultimate test on the Channel 4 show.

A TV insider said: "She's ready for a challenge - and to move on from a tough couple of years."

The rapper joins X Factor legend Lucy Spraggan and Drag Race star Bimini Bon Boulash on the show.

Also gearing up to join the upcoming sixth series are footballer Troy Deeney, and Love Island stars Chloe Burrows and Adam Collard.

Controversial figures like Peru and two-time jailbird Michaella McCollum will also be part of the lineup later this year.

While other names are yet to be announced, the celebrity edition of the series aims to raise funds for Stand Up To Cancer.

Known as the world's toughest reality show, the stars will undergo rigorous SAS training techniques in challenging terrain, set this season in New Zealand.

Previous seasons have seen the show film from the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan to the Vietnamese Jungle.

The gruelling nature of the series has led to celebs being withdrawn on medical grounds, often due to injuries, hypothermia, and heatstroke during previous seasons.

In the previous season, Gareth Gates made it through the course and came out on top, beating former MP Matt Hancock.

Directing staff Jason Fox, Mark Billingham and Rudy Reyes are all expected to return for the upcoming series.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 later this year.
