Italy could find themselves with six teams in next season's Champions League after Atalanta claimed Europa League success.
The winner of the competition guarantees themselves a spot in the following season's Champions League and the Serie A outfit claimed a historic first title as they ended Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten season with a 3-0 victory in Dublin.
Ademola Lookman scored a hat-trick for Atalanta, who sit fifth in the league currently. Serie A though, as part of the newly expanded Champions League from next year, have already guaranteed themselves five spots in the competition, as have the Bundesliga.
It means that Atalanta, with two games still to go in Serie A, were already set to qualify for the Champions League. As a result, the fifth Champions League spot could now go down to sixth, which would mean Roma playing in next year's tournament.
