A bargain hunter has explained an easy McDonald's hack that means you "never pay full price" for a meal at the fast food chain.

Jordon Cox, known as Britain's Coupon King and a regular on ITV's This Morning, revealed how you can get a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 every time by filling out a short online survey. To access the survey, you first need to purchase something from McDonald's - keep your receipt, then within 60 days, enter the 12-digit code on your receipt online on the chain's Food for Thought website.

Once you’ve filled out the survey online, you’ll then be given a new five-digit code to get your Big Mac meal. The offer can also be used to claim the following: Filet-o-Fish, McChicken Sandwich, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, six McNuggets or the McPlant. With each one, you get the choice of medium fries or a side salad. Jordon revealed the hack in a recent Instagram post.

He said: "McDonald’s fan? Never pay full price for a meal! Here’s how. At the top of every McDonald’s receipt, there’s a survey called ‘Food For Thoughts’. If you enter your code and fill out the survey (which can take 1-2 mins if you whizz through it), you get a voucher for a £2.99 meal sent through email.

"You can choose between a Big Mac, McChicken, Quarter Pounder, 6 Chicken Nuggets, Fillet-o-fish or McPlant with fries or side salad. And the great thing about this trick - you use your email voucher at the touch screen/at a till, place your order with cheap food… and you get ANOTHER receipt. Then you can fill out that survey, and get another voucher for next time. Some meals can cost £6+, and if you don’t want a drink - this is a great way to save."

It comes after McDonald's launched its new summer menu, including the brand new "Hat Trick" burger which has three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup sandwiched in a sesame seed bun. This will set you back £5.89, or £7.69 for a meal deal.
