JOEY Essex banned Love Island co-stars from talking about Towie in the villa - as one dumped Islander spoke out.
The reality TV favourite joined Love Island as a bombshell on day two and sent shockwaves through the villa.
He coupled up with Samantha Kenny from Liverpool and they spent two weeks in relative bliss in the Majorca mansion.
But in their last few days together, Joey, 34, appeared to "get the ick" when Samantha kept bringing up his past fame.
Joey shot to stardom on hit reality show Towie and Samantha confessed she was a huge fan who knew a thing or two about the show, including his catchphrases.

Dumped Islander Patsy has now spoken out on the cringe moments - and recalled The King of Reem was VERY embarrassed.
She told Closer: "Everyone was quoting Towie. All of the girls were quoting Towie.
"Joey put us on a Towie quote ban at one point and said, ‘We’re going to need to drop it now.’
"But we couldn’t help it and we said, ‘We’re not actually quoting Towie, we’re just quoting The GC (Gemma Collins).’
"She is a living legend, so can you blame us really?"
Since shooting to fame on ITVBe’s The Only Way Is Essex in 2011, Joey has been on a number of reality shows including I'm A Celeb.
He's also been romantically linked to pop star Rita Ora, Towie's Sam Faiers, model Lorena Medina and reality favourite Stephanie Pratt.
Samantha was dumped from the villa and endured a teary reunion with her family as she returned to the UK on Tuesday.
Viewers watched her leave the show after Joey dropped her for his ex who entered as a bombshell.
Fans were devastated to see her leave the villa and have been calling for her return to Casa Amor later in the series.

Her relatives hit out at her treatment on the show after she was ditched by Joey and Samantha's sister Toni slammed ITV while also hitting out at her love rival Grace Jackson.
Following her departure, Samantha said: "Obviously I am devastated to leave all of the girls behind.
"But I am very excited now to see what my future holds and look forward to seeing what is next."
