Justin Timberlake – who was arrested for drink driving earlier this week – has had his tour tickets slashed.
The 43-year-old singer is currently on the US leg of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour but slow sales have led to ticket prices being slashed ahead of his arrest in New York. Seats towards the back of Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania for the singer's July 4 show have been reduced to $16 or £12.50.
An X, formerly known as Twitter, user has also found midfield seats that can be purchased for $40 or £31.50. Justin's world tour – his first in five years – has failed to sell out in almost every location. However, the NSYNC singer can look forward to his selection of dates in the UK as the first two of his O2 Arena shows have only limited tickets available and have not been affected by price reductions.
Justin is scheduled to begin the international leg of the tour next week in Poland. The singer and actor was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, an affluent village in the Hamptons, after police pulled him over in his grey BMW for driving through a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road.
He was released without bail after being formally charged. A charging document stated that when officers topped him, the singer's eyes were "bloodshot and glassy" and a "strong odour of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath".
Judge Judy 'happy' former neighbour Justin Bieber has stopped 'foolish' anticsHe is said to have performed poorly on the officers' sobriety tests and refused a breathalyser test. "I had one martini and I followed my friends home," Justin allegedly told the officer who stopped him, according to CBS News.
The singer is scheduled to appear virtually in Sag Harbor court on 26 July. On Tuesday evening, his lawyer, Edward Burke Jr, told CBS that he "will vigorously defend his client and is currently engaged in the Discovery process with the District Attorney’s Office".
Following his arrest, fans have pointed out the tragedy of Justin's wife Jessica Biel's post dedicated to her husband being a "rock" to their family. Jessica shared a series of snaps of her husband with their two children.
She captioned the post: "You’re so many things to so many people. But to us you are THE ROCK. The rock we climb on, we lean against. The rock that shades us from the sun. And when we recline on you, as we always do, hopefully our butts will keep you eternally grounded and warm. We LOVE YOU."
One fan commented: "I see this ironically after getting arrested didn’t age well," while another simply wrote: "& now he’s in jail." Someone else shared: "Your 'rock' might have hit rock bottom though," and a fourth said: "Very bad decision, we all need to do better but we have all made mistakes & this is his!" (sic)
