The Traitors star Alex Grey has been left "speechless" after discovering an alcoholic beverage can get rid of slugs in your garden.
The TV presenter and social media personality, 28, said she has tried everything to stop slugs "terrorising" her plants after finding flowers head "chomped off" and her garden ruined. In a recent TikTok video, she said she was at "the point of despair".
Confessing she "feels bad but it must be done", Alex decided to take measures further and get rid of her slugs for good. And bizarrely, she turned to using beer.
Alex said: "I have read many a theory online about how to get rid of these sneaky little slimy pests and the only one that seems to really do the trick is by getting them to unalive themselves." She then grabbed a can of beer and poured an equal measure into three different pots before placing them in her garden.
She added: "So apparently what attracts the slugs is the yeast in the beer. I'm going to be left with no plants at this rate. I feel bad, but it has to be done." The following day she filmed the results - revealing each tub had around 30 slugs inside, floating in the beer.

"I was actually speechless and also felt a little bit nauseous," the TV star added. "Beer is the best way to get rid of the tiny pests."
People could not get over how many slugs she found. "There's so many omg," wrote one. Another said: "Oh my god there's loads, I need to try this. Thank you so much Alex!"
A third TikTok user said: "Okay doing this tomorrow, I'm gobsmacked at how many are in there."
Offering an alternative suggestion, another said: "This is going to sound crazy but [it] works wonders, it saved my garden! Around all your pots (rims)and garden beds rub Vaseline to create a barrier. They honestly don’t come near them anymore after!"
