THIS is the shocking moment racegoers sparked a brutal brawl that left one drenched in blood at Royal Ascot.

Disturbing footage showed two young lads throwing punches and launching each other down stairs at the famed racetrack.

Horrified guests struggled to pull the men apart and stop the violent scenes from escalating further.

A woman also appeared to be struck in the face by one raging racegoer while she attempted to intervene.

One man had to be restrained by onlookers as he tried to kick another racegoer who was on the floor.

Meanwhile, a second man, who was wearing a brown suit, was then led away from the brawl with a bloody nose. 

The shocked crowd can be heard pleading with the brawlers to calm down during the chaotic footage.

It is understood the fight broke out at the prestigious royal event in Berkshire this afternoon.

Revellers have been travelling to the famous Berkshire racecourse over the past five days for the Royal Ascot event. 

The King and Queen were at the event yesterday and watched from above inside the royal enclosure. 

The cause of the brawl is unknown.

Thames Valley Police has been contacted for comment.
