Ruth Langsford has continued to make a defiant statement about her marriage with Eamonn Holmes following their shock split 14 years after they tied the knot.
Last month, GB News host Eamonn, 64, sent shockwaves through the showbiz world when it was announced that he and wife, Ruth, also 64, were heading for the divorce courts. Eamonn, has kept quiet about the split, apart from thanking his fans on GB News for supporting him and Ruth. However, behind the scenes, the Northern Irishman is said to be seeking comfort from mum-of-three, Katie Alexander, 42. Katie, has reportedly visited the father-of-four at his new home over the last two weekends.
Following the news of his split from Ruth, Eamonn decided to move out of the luxury home they shared in Surrey. Katie has now been seen visiting the presenter at his rented apartment in South West London from her home in Yorkshire, according to The Sun. Earlier this month, a photo emerged of Eamonn at a safari park in February, with a blonde woman visible through the vehicle’s rear window.
It comes after Ruth reportedly found messages between her husband and a mystery woman on Eamonn's laptop. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages. She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated. Not only was she very upset but she was also angry.”

Last October, the presenter attended a charity fundraising event in Yorkshire — close to Katie’s home — and became a patron, according to reports. Ruth is reportedly 'angry' after the pair's relationship became public knowledge as she was not aware they were friends.

However, the Loose Women star has remained defiant through the marriage split, as she refuses to take off her wedding ring. In the weeks since announcing their split, Ruth has been seen still sporting her glistening engagement and wedding rings on her hand.
Ruth has continued to put on a brave face since her shock marriage split, and on Thursday night, she enjoyed a night out when she attended Giovanni Pernice and Anton du Beke's London stage show, Together. Ruth was invited by her close friend Anton, 57, and beamed as she posed in a photo beside him at the end of the night.

Katie Alexander's friends are at pains to point out that their friendship has only grown close once the marriage was overAlongside the snap, Ruth wrote: "Great night watching Giovanni and Anton. Go and see it if you can. Fantastic dancers, fantastic singers, fantastic band. " In another Instagram story post, she wrote: "Thanks for inviting me Partner. If one of the dancers need a day off you know where I am."
Her night out on the town comes after a source told The Mirror that Eamonn's new friend is in it for the long haul. The source close to Katie said: "She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn't want to be seen as a marriage wrecker. The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn's marriage has been over for some time.
"She wants to help Eamonn with his situation and their friendship has grown over a period of time. She feels she will be close to him for a long period and is in this for the long haul." Katie is a mother-of-three and a marriage counsellor. She was spotted driving to and from his luxury flat last week and was named at the weekend as someone helping him through the pain of an impending divorce.
