"Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time, it takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in."
She added: "I offer my hand to those who are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don't cut them off, no one should carry this weight alone.
"This healing journey is never-ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you. Love always, Cassie."
Diddy took to his Instagram page on Sunday afternoon to issue an apology after an unearthed video clip emerged on the internet last week. The unearthed CCTV footage saw him allegedly assaulting Cassie.
In the apology clip, he said: "I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses."
Speaking to the camera, Diddy spoke into the camera lens when he said: "So difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, sometimes you got to do that. I was f***ed up.
"I mean I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses, my behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, disgusting.
"I was disgusted then when I did it, I am disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab.
"Asked God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry. But I am committed to be a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm truly sorry."
Diddy admits he still pays Sting eye-watering sum each day for sampling hit songThis comes after unearthed footage from 2016 emerged from the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, obtained by CNN. The now-viral footage appears to show Diddy and Cassie in a physical altercation that matches events described in the now-settled lawsuit she brought against her ex last November.
Cassie came forward with allegations against the rapper in November 2023, but the pair settled the lawsuit out of court rather swiftly. According to court documents obtained by The Mirror at the time, she alleged that "he raped her and perpetually abused her for years."
