Capturing the perfect photo is a tricky business.

You need to get the angle, the lighting and everything else just right to get the money shot. It can take photographers, professional and amateur, a long time. But sometimes - very rarely - you can get the perfect shot first time. And for Gavin Best, he managed to do all this without even realising he was doing it.

The 43-year-old was walking with his friends in Belfast on New Year's Eve when he decided to stop and take a photo. He said: "When I looked at the photos afterwards on my mobile I didn't spot anything; it was only a few days later when I was looking through the photos on my laptop that I noticed something over there, so I zoomed in."

Gavin managed to capture the moment someone jumped in the air, presumably for another photograph. He said: "I thought it was a hell of a coincidence that I'd happened to capture that exact moment - I hadn't even realised there was anyone over there when I took the picture.

"By pure chance the timing was perfect and it created a funny shot. It would be pretty mad if you managed to find them." He shared the photo on Twitter and it has now been liked more than 1,200 times. He said: "I posted the photo on Twitter because I thought it was a bit special and worth sharing."
