YOUR wedding is the biggest party of your life, and one bride admitted to taking things too far.

She explained that she took things too far, and her afterparty ended up being a "drunk disaster."

Redditor Qarantinosfootfetish shared the wedding drama in a post.

"We got married, and the plan was for the party to keep going at some bars downtown," she said.

"Lots of shots and mixed drinks were being given to me (not passing blame, it was my responsibility to not drink too much) and things were going great until bar number four."

She realized she had too much too drink too late.

"I very quickly went from feeling incredible to sicker than hell and had to be literally carried from the bar to a bench outside because my legs were so wobbly I just kept slumping to the ground," she said.

The situation quickly escalated once the police got involved.

"Outside, I was surrounded by bike cops and an EMT, as well as all of my new husband’s friends, while I puked and cried and apologized profusely to everyone," she said.

"I couldn’t hold my eyes open and ended up being carried by my husband to an Uber after the cops, who were very nice to me, threatened to call an ambulance."

The couple decided against the ambulance and attempted to get into the Uber instead.

"I proceeded to puke my way down the street to the Uber pickup and vomited in the Uber as well," she recalled.

"My husband and best friend got me home and I woke up with a wicked headache but otherwise fine."

While everything turned out fine, the bride grimaced at having to face the music the next day.

"Now I’m dealing with overwhelming embarrassment and shame over being sloppy drunk in public, in front of my husband’s friends who I don’t know well, and making him take care of me on night one of our marriage," she said.

"I’ve been reassured by everyone I’ve spoken with over and over that no one was upset with me but I’m so embarrassed with myself.

"Guess I’m just looking for words of wisdom on dealing with the shame of being a drunk disaster bride (especially as someone who is typically the mom-friend taking care of everyone else)."

Redditors flooded the comments with reassuring messages.

"So, I'll tell you a story. Back in 2014, it was my 23rd birthday and I was trying to get laid. I tried to impress this guy, drank a lot, went home with him, and did NOT get laid as I threw up in bed," said one commenter.

"The night of our wedding in 2020 (yes to that same guy, clearly I made an impression) I also threw up in bed, this time into a garbage can at least.

"Anyway, it happens. Now we're been married 2.5 years, I'm currently pregnant and I just like to say I started our marriage the same way I started our relationship and both have worked out pretty well."

"My husband threw up in my bed, on my birthday, only 6 months into us dating. We’ve been together 7+ years," said another encouraging commenter.
