Greggs is always providing the tastiest flavour combos, and they're constantly teasing fans with emoji puzzles and hints that get the comments rolling in.
Just recently, they announced via an emoji riddle that they would be launching a fish finger sandwich, so when pastry lovers saw that Greggs had an "important announcement", they were left sitting at the edge of their seats.
But when they made the announcements, fans were left wondering what it actually meant, and whether they were hinting at another product drop, or whether they were just using colloquial language to describe one of their most famous items.
Seeming to take a swipe at the general election announcement, taking to X, formerly Twitter, @greggsofficial penned: "We also have an important announcement: Sausage Rolls are mint. That is all."
But their short but sweet announcement sent some fans into a tailspin, wondering whether they meant they were actually bringing out sausage rolls with mint sauce, rather than 'mint' meaning really good, or awesome.
Bloke who ate 124 kebabs in 31 days says it left him 'psychologically' damagedHowever, Greggs did clear up the confusion after one baffled customer wrote: "Ummm…mint flavoured sausage rolls", followed by a series of green-faced vomiting emojis. Greggs simply replied: "Mint like mint, not mint like mint", and they responded: "Oh right…that mint not the mint mint."
Referring to a rather wet Rishi Sunak who was seen announcing the general election, someone also joked that Greggs sausage rolls were "worth standing in the rain for". "10/10 no notes", another fan penned, and Greggs quipped: "All notes left soggy on the podium".
"Mint sausage rolls, there's an idea", a fan responded, but someone had other priorities for mint flavouring, sharing: "Speaking of mint. Please can you have the mint syrup all year round for hot drinks?", followed by a crying emoji. Another said that their sausage roll habit was becoming expensive because they had to "order three at a time because of the taste".
