Sean Kingston's home has reportedly been raided

Southwest Ranches, which has reportedly been rented out to Sean Kingston, has been raided.

Broward sheriff's investigators and Davie Police in Florida are reportedly conducting an investigation on the mansion. According to CBS News, various officers and the sheriff's mobile command center have been spotted at the home.

The outlet also claims that court filings from February of this year state that Kisean Anderson, the legal name of the Jamaican rapper, lives at the 7-bedroom property while the home is in the name of an LLC. Kingston's mother, Janice Turner, was allegedly arrested according to The US Sun.

The raid was reportedly linked to a lawsuit where Kingston failed to pay $150,000 for an entertainment system back in September, according to ABC affiliate WPLG. Kingston reportedly only made a partial payment of $30,000 for the system that was, according to the lawsuit filed by Ver Ver Entertainment, installed in December 2023.

Kingston is known for hit songs like Fire Burning, Beautiful Girls, and Eenie Meenie featuring Justin Bieber. In 2011, the 34-year-old crashed his watercraft in Miami Beach, prompting him and a female passenger to receive medical care.

The rapper was taken to the hospital in critical condition due to a torn aorta. He later recovered after undergoing heart surgery.

In 2016, after a fight at the Penthouse Nightclub & Dayclub in Los Angeles, Kingston got into a fight and was robbed of a $300,000 chain, according to TMZ. It's unclear if the chain was ever recovered.

He was in the news again in 2020 when a warrant was issued for his arrest after he allegedly never paid for some jewelry. He was sued several times after for allegedly not paying for items over the years.

Most recently, in 2021, a music video producer, GXDLIKE, accused Kingston of threatening him with a gun and punching him in the face. Kingston has denied these claims.

The singer was born in Miami, Florida but moved to Kingston, Jamaica, where his family is from, when he was six. After being discovered on YouTube, the rapper signed a record deal and started creating music.

His last album, his fourth studio one, was released and titled Road to Deliverance. Kingston's song with Bieber, Eenie Meenie, has made a resurgence in recent years as a viral sound on TikTok, years after its original release in 2010.
