Ink Master star Ryan Hadley has died aged 46 after a battle with cancer, as his family paid tribute.
The news was announced June 21 on his Instagram page by his loved ones. The family shared a black and white picture of Ryan smiling as he tattooed an unknown person’s thigh.
The post was captioned, “Ryan left this world last night surrounded by loved ones. While his life was cut short, in that time he left a legacy behind in both the art and tattoo world.
"He loved his many fans, his friends and clients, and most of all his children. He’ll be missed and always remembered. A legend forever,” the post concluded. At the end of the announcement, there were two hashtags: "RIP and f--k cancer".

Horror tattoo bungle leaves woman blind after eye-inking goes wrongRyan had been diagnosed with seminoma which is a malignant germ cell tumour "that came from testicular cancer". He revealed this diagnosis in December 2023 on Instagram with a photo of him in a hospital bed with his eyes closed. He shared that he had his first week of chemotherapy and was on "high alert" to make sure he didn't catch any colds or flus.
He added that there "approximately 122hrs of poison pumped into my heart" to help him fight off the disease which is a "very fast moving cancer cell that seems to make tumuors wherever it goes to." He thanked his fans for their support and kindness and stated that he was "not ready to leave" the world and he would not "abandon his children and loved ones" and he'd continue to fight "one day at a time."
At the end of the post he included that he had set up a GoFundMe page On his official GoFundMe account, the tattoo artist said he was "unable to work" while undergoing “aggressive treatment” for his cancer.
In April he revealed on Instagram that his chemotherapy wasn't successful and wasn't working for him. He elaborated that the "non-treatable" cancer had spread to his liver and lungs. He said "death is the outcome" and wasn't sure how long he would be around for, he said maybe "another week or maybe another 3 months."
The post ended with, "Death doesn’t scare me in any way.. it’s the fact of abandonment with my kids is what p---es me off and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ll keep everyone updated to a certain point in all this. I’ll be signing off very soon forever."
Just three days ago on June 17, his family posted that Ryan was accepting End of Life Donations "to help pay for end of life expenses."
Ryan was on season 6 of Ink Master. He had over two decades in the tattoo industry and he owned a tattoo and art gallery in Indiana.
