Trent Alexander-Arnold should no longer start in England's midfield at Euro 2024, according to ex-Three Lions defender Wes Brown.

The Liverpool star had been a surprise inclusion in England's midfield alongside Declan Rice given his inexperience in the position and while he's been a serviceable player in the middle of the park in England's first two group stage games, Brown admitted that the 25-year-old would be better suited coming off the bench from now on.
"How many times has he played in midfield before? I'm not saying he looks a little lost, but sometimes he's not sure what to do," the 44-year-old said. "We've got so many good players in midfield that we could play.
"I think we should bring Trent on in the 60th minute when everyone's tired and then he will be able to switch them balls. when you start the game, you're all on it, you're not tired, you're focused.
