A dermatologist on TikTok has shared the perfect budget friendly moisturiser that shoppers can get their hands on and it only costs £5 in Boots. The Cetraben Cream - 50ml will cost shoppers £4.84 so makes it the perfect option for those not wanting to spend a fortune on their skincare but is still full of all the ingredients loved by dermatologists.
On the Boots website the product is described as being the ‘No1 GP recommended cream in the UK’ due to its soothing nature that ‘softens, protects and delivers instant hydration from the first use’. Suitable for a variety of skin types, the cream ‘locks in moisture protecting against irritants and water loss’.
While many customers tend to turn to the slightly more expensive or on trend product, they don’t always have everything our skin needs to stay in the best condition possible. Sometimes the cheaper products are actually better, something Dr Adel tries to show to her following on TikTok
(Boots)Taking to her TikTok yesterday Dr Adel, who is a dermatologist, shared the product she wished more people knew about, which turned out to be the Cetraben Cream. She claimed that it is the moisturiser that ‘literally every single derm in the UK recommends’ and how it only costs £5.
In the comments section Dr Adel also wrote: “Best face/body moisturiser on a budget, fragrance free, suitable for sensitive skin. Can’t believe more people don't know about it.”

Other TikTok users and skincare fans were also loving the product, one who agreed said: “Agree!!! I use this on my son who has black African skin and when I say he’s well hydrated when smothered in Cetraben…”
Another who loved the results the product gave shared: “Cetraben helped so much with my dermatitis.”
A third said: “This saved me! My skin went from red, angry, blotchy and full of rashes to normal in a few days. Not keen on the oat version though.”
And a fourth commented: “I was given Cetraben when I was on Accutane!! The body cream saved me too.”
However, on the Boots website some shoppers were not quite so impressed. One person said: "My dry and excema prone skin like this cream the first few times but then became unusable because the sores returned and it stung my skin to put it on."
A second wrote: "It was okay but I did find that the cream didn't lock in the moisture for long, you'd have to keep topping up. Didn't make much difference to my skin."
