It's been almost 12 years since the London Olympics took place.

The Summer Games were truly a historic time where the international multi-sport event kicked off from July 27 all the way through to August 12 in the capital city. At the time, there were many collectibles released for eager Brit fans.

Rare coins were even commemorated to mark the occasion, with 29 launched to celebrate the sports. Now one TikTok user discussed all the pieces in a recent video. He asked: "Have you ever wondered what your Olympic 50p is worth?"

The @CoinCollectingWizard then went onto list all the coins, starting with the designs worth the least amount. Here's a list of all the London 2012 Olympics coins – and how much each is worth.

The TikTok user, who boasts 149,000 followers, delighted fans with the video as it racked up over hundreds of likes and shares since it was posted a number of days ago. One fan asked: "I have so many £2 and 50p coins, how do I value it?"

Meanwhile a second added: "How much is my fake £2 with rotation?" While some of the coins aren't worth much, owning the entire collection could still set you back £86, according to the TikTok video.

Sometimes the coins can go for a lot more than what was stated in the video. It comes after the same TikTok user revealed the rare London Olympics 50p coin which could be yours and it's worth more than face value.

Speaking about the Table Tennis 50p coin from the 2012 event, he said: "Almost 1.2million coins dated 2011 were struck to enter circulation. The coin features two people playing table tennis or ping pong if you prefer.

"Table tennis made its Olympic debut at Seoul 1988. The first player to score 11 points wins each game based on best of seven games for singles and best of five for team matches.

"If you are lucky enough to come across this table tennis 50p, then you are looking at around £2 in circulated condition and around £5 in brand new condition."
