DENISE VAN OUTEN could give Martin Lewis a run for his money with her latest show.

She hosts Channel 4 series Secrets Of The Supermarket Buyers, which focuses on how we are influenced to shop, and reveals behind-the-scenes consumer secrets.

It is the latest in a string of consumer shows for C4.

Denise looks into the tactics used by buyers to get popular items into stores, and how they predict trends.

And just like the tips Martin gives out on his Money Show, Denise will discover in the four-parter later this year how shoppers can get in the know.

She said: “These shows have changed how I do my shopping. I’ve loved being able to spill the secrets with my friends and family.

“I’m excited to get the inside scoop on who decides what we see on supermarket shelves, and peek behind the scenes to uncover even more surprises.”

Atack back to 80s

EMILY ATACK revisits some classic Eighties glam for her role in new drama Rivals.

The actress and comic appears as Sarah Stratton in the Disney+ series set in the world of TV.

It is adapted from Jilly Cooper's romp-filled 1988 romantic novel of the same name.

Emily, who rose to fame in cheeky Noughties adolescent comedy The Inbetweeners, will get her kit off for sex scenes in her latest role – which includes a naked tennis match.

Another scene will see her getting steamy under the covers with her lover Rupert, played by His Dark Materials actor Alex Hassell.

Cast members have been pictured after their Eighties transformation in a first look at the series, which will be released later this year.

As well as Emily, the star-studded cast includes former Doctor Who David Tennant, Poldark’s Aidan Turner and Our Girl actor Luke Pasqualino.

Even Ex-EastEnder Danny Dyer gets in on the act, complete with a dodgy Eighties barnet and tash.

Angela: I find pain for plot

EASTENDERS’ Angela Wynter coped with her rape storyline by becoming an emotional “vampire”.

And she believes the plot, which saw her character Yolande Trueman attacked by Pastor Clayton, proves why soaps remain so important.

Angela told me: “When it comes to the emotional stuff, I’m a bit of a vampire. We find the little bits of pain inside of us and use it for what we need. You have to laugh it off, get in there and get out.

“You can’t stay in there because it is too real, the issue. I get people messaging me every day. It’s resonated with people because they feel they know Yolande.

“I even have men saying, ‘You got me crying’. Soaps are relevant because they make people think. It’s not just a soap, it’s dealing with issues.”

Amor is merrier for Joey

JOEY ESSEX’s hunt for The One, on Love Island, has now streamed 60million times.

The whopping viewer count for the ITV2 dating series has been attributed to the Towie lad’s appearance in the villa.

So last night’s episode would have tested Joey’s fans, as he seemed to have his head turned by a newcomer, Jessy Potts.

And more drama awaits, with the show’s famed “relationship test” Casa Amor due to start on Sunday.

This time the twist, where a string of newcomers arrive, will feature several of the fellas’ exes.

A source said: “There’s some girls the lads will recognise – for good and bad reasons.”

I can think of 60million reasons why it’s a great plan.
