L. Daniela Alvarez wrote about how her initial method left her frustrated as she would open her suitcase to find her clothes looking worse for wear.

But then she began folding garments as flat as possible.

Daniela said: "This forced me to figure out how to pack three days’ worth of outfits into a backpack."

She continued: "By simply folding T-shirts and pants in half and laying all undergarments flat, I could stack everything neatly without adding the bulk of rolling clothes.

"Best of all, I didn’t have the hard lumps of rolled clothes digging into my back and sides. Because this method worked perfectly in a backpack, I was sure I’d find success with it in a suitcase.

"Sure enough, it’s become my foolproof method for organising my outfits and minimising wrinkles."

It comes as a semi-retired couple revealed how they saved thousands of pounds on holidays with a little-known travel hack - and anyone can do it.

Jane MacDonald, 65, and her husband John, 68, have travelled to dozens of locations around the world without paying a penny for accommodation.

This is because they have been swapping homes with other families instead of forking out for a hotel or Airbnb.

Since signing up to home-swapping site HomeExchange in 2017, the couple have stayed in 33 homes overseas and around the UK for free.

Sometimes they swapped homes at the same time as other families while in other circumstances, they stayed with their hosts as guests.

Former self-employed tourism worker Jane estimates they have saved thousands of pounds on accommodation around the world.

And a mum revealed her clever hack that allows her to pack way more stuff when travelling with her kids.

Going away with children can be really stressful, with so much stuff to fit inside strict luggage allowances.

However, there are crafty ways in which parents can bring more than they might think they're able to.

One way is through the clever use of a car seat, which many people have to take with them when they go away.

Mother and Tiktoker Autumn Grace (@honestlyautumn) showed how she uses the seat to stash extra goods, including a load of extra nappies when going away with her kids.

The video showed her filling the seat with items before covering it in its protective carry case.
