No matter how you feel about ITV2's Love Island, you can't deny that the famous villa - the setting of all of the recouplings, drama and romance - is a sight to behold.

And one woman who decided to take inspiration from the luxe home has totally transformed her garden, complete with a fire pit, hot tub and dining area just like you'd see the Islanders enjoy.

Now, she says she 'absolutely loves' the results and it's the perfect space for entertaining friends and family, especially during the summer months.

Carly Jones, 50, moved into a new build home in 2015 and immediately was keen to start creating the garden of her dreams - which was bringing in some builders to fix the uneven turf. She then set about ‘zoning’ the space to make it easier to create the different sections she wanted.

The content creator said: "Our garden was a complete blank canvas being a new build and with its unusual shape we knew we could make it into what we wanted.

“I am a huge Love Island fan and absolutely love it. Each year I get completely hooked. I take it as a huge compliment when people say it reminds them of Love Island, who wouldn’t?”

Separating her garden into zones was something Carly was keen to do. Her garden features a corner sofa and firepit, a pergola, a dining area and bar, and a hot tub area.

She said: “I knew zoning the garden was something we really wanted to do. One of the first things we bought was the hot tub.

“My favourite thing is the bar/kitchen area. We love to entertain and it’s brilliant for parties and get-togethers. Our daughters also love it when they have friends over too.”

Despite taking inspo from the Marjorcan villa, Carly swayed away from artificial grass, instead her husband sowed a grass lawn using seed from iCANLAWN.

She said: “The turf we had when we first moved in was not great quality. It was very uneven and boggy. When the main part of the garden was done the builders levelled it, added new topsoil and fresh turf.

“We were very tempted to get artificial grass but my husband stuck to his guns with real and we are so glad we did. Real grass attracts wildlife and we both love the look of it too.

“My husband works hard on the lawn to keep it looking good. He obviously does a good job too as people often think it’s artificial. He mows, feeds and waters regularly.”

Grass experts at iCANLAWN explained how using the right seed and fertilisers for your garden can achieve a green and healthy lawn.

Timothy Greene said: “New build homes often have a clay soil which can be difficult to grow grass on due to their high-moisture retention levels.

“Many homeowners find their new lawns turn to mud pits and feel they have no choice but to install artificial turf as they don’t realise how relatively straightforward it is to have a grass lawn.

“Carly used our Fast Grow Family Lawn which is a hardwearing grass seed which will withstand regular wear and tear so the Jones family can continue to enjoy their garden as often as they like.

“Using a feed like Oh So Green gives lawns a quick boost to get them looking healthy and green.”
