New pictures of Jay Slater two days before his disappearance show him dressing in camouflaged swimming trunks and lounging by a Hard Rock Hotel in Tenerife.
The photos show the 19-year-old, in Playa de las Americas, known as a party resort, on the Spanish holiday island alongside other tourists and his friend Lucy Mae Law. The pictures were taken at a pool party on the second day of the NRG festival on June 15 by a Scottish female holidaymaker, who has not been identified.
Alongside the images, the holidaymaker wrote: “Just came across these in my camera roll. Not sure if they could be of any help, Jay sort of looks like he's standing (by) himself while Lucy is speaking to his other friends.” Jay disappeared on the morning of Monday, June 17 after enjoying the last night of a three-day rave at the Papagayo Beach Club. Today marks 10 days since his disappearance and police have little idea of where Jay is despite the search which is utilising drones, helicopters and emergency personnel but Spanish Police has declined help from British Police.

The pictures were taken at a pool party on the second day of the NRG festival on June 15 by a Scottish female holidaymaker (FACEBOOK)The apprentice bricklayer was last seen at 8.15 am walking uphill from the village of Masca in the Parque Rurale Teno in northwest Tenerife. Jay went back to this Airbnb with two men he met on the holiday. Jay phoned Lucy at 8.50 am to tell her that he was 'tired, thirsty and disorientated' with only one per cent battery on his phone. Suspicions have been raised over the two British men who Jay left with after a party at Papagayo's nightclub. The men said to be in their late 30s, and early 40s rented a £40 AirBnB in the isolated village but are known to have travelled to the three-day festival daily which is a two-hour drive each way.
The last person to see Jay, Ophelia Medina Hernandez, told MailOnline she had earlier told him the next bus to Playa de las Americas, 19 miles away, was at 10 am. Jay had told his friend Lucy he was going to attempt an 11-hour walk back to his room but went in the opposite direction, a move which has confused investigators and his family. Jay’s parents are currently in Tenerife and said they will stay there until they find their son.

Jay Slater, has been missing for 10 days now but new pictures have been shared of him two days before his disappearance (FACEBOOK)In a bizarre turn of events, the Mayor of Puerto de Santiago said he’d been “told by locals who have been told by others” that “they saw someone looking like the boy in a bar at Los Gigantes further along the coast.” There were no specifics on which bar, but the mayor said he knew the police had spoken to people who say they say Jay “cheering in a bar watching football.” The mayor said he wanted to make clear that the news of the sighting of Jay was, “unconfirmed information.”
One of Jay’s friends, Bradley Hargreaves, 19, who was on holiday too has been attacked by internet trolls who have accused him of having a hand in his friend's disappearance. Posting on social media, Bradley said: “Don't know why I've to jump on here to explain myself to the Facebook world but if any of yous believe me his best mate has anything to do with him going missing you're honestly not all there. I've known Jay most of my life go to all these raves and whatnot together and this was our first lads holiday with him. Nobody actually knows the true story not even me because there isn't a factual story that has come out just a load of s*** that has been said by different people. Anyway won't be saying much more on here but just thought I'd get that out.”
