Drivers are only just discovering three little-known car buttons

Bought a new car recently?

Picking up your new wheels can be an exciting prospect. The fresh car smell, the new gadgets, it's all to look forward to. But one thing which comes with a new car is setting up all the features which can feel quite daunting.

Now one motoring guru revealed three hidden features most people might forget about their vehicle. TikTok superstar @master_driver666, who boasts 747,000 followers, recently shared a clip on her page to educate fans.

In a 30-second long video, she said: "After buying a new car, these three places are not set. First, press the door lock button for five seconds, one-touch lock function can be activated."

She added: "Second, press the glass lift switch for 5 seconds, you can activate the one-click window raising function. Third, put into reverse gear, turn the rearview mirror adjustment to R, adjust the rear view mirror, find the location of the rear tyre.

"This will activate the automatic flip-down function of the rear view mirror." Since she shared the video with fans, it scooped 1,400 likes and a flurry of shares. One fan commented: "Freaking awesome," while another pointed out: "If you buy a hood enough car, you don't have to do any of that."

Meanwhile the same TikTok user recently shared a handy trick where people were only just discovering a hidden car function to open your boot. She taught fans how to adjust the trunk correctly so it can bounce automatically.

The TikTok user said: "Peel off this interior fabric, do you see it? This has a spring, the spring corresponds to three small holes. There is a first gear, second gear and third gear.

"Now this spring is mounted on the first gear, let's adjust it to third gear. Hold the spring in your hand, just pull it gently like this, pull it to third gear." After you've done that, put the fabric back and repeat for the other side. She concluded: "Okay adjustment completed, now let's see the effect, it bounced on its own."
