Spider-Man 2 fast became one of the most iconic movies of its time with Tobey Maguire taking the lead as Peter Parker for the second time.
The hit film also starred Kirsten Dunst as Peter's love interest Mary-Jane Watson and James Franco as the charming but tragic Harry Osborn. The box-office hit picked up an array of nominations and awards, even winning an Oscar for outstanding visual effects following its release on July 16 2004.
