HOME Bargains shoppers are rushing to buy a sell-out garden light - and it's cheaper than Aldi and Homebase.

The discounter, which runs almost 600 stores across the UK, is stocking a hanging hot air balloon solar light for just £4.99.

The nifty device works by absorbing rays from the sun and then beaming light across your garden space as soon as it gets dark.

Every time Home Bargains brings them back on sale they run out fast, with them currently out of stock online.

But one shopper on Facebook seems to have found some of their local branch.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, they said: "Don’t know if anyone has posted yet, but Home Bargains has got the hot air balloons back that Aldi sold out of quickly only £4.99."

The post has notched up almost 400 likes and over 400 comments from shoppers keen to snap one of the "stunning" lights themselves.

One said: "I so want one but no Home Bargains near me."

Another added: "I have one and they are beautiful."

Meanwhile, a third commented: "How cute."

We have also asked Home Bargains if the solar light is in stock across all its stores and we will update this story when we have heard back.

Either way, if you're keen to snap one up, it could be worth calling your local branch to see if it has any in stock.

You can find your nearest Home Bargains branch by using the retailer's store locator on its website.

Of course, always to remember to shop around before buying anything like this as you might find the item cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Price Spy let you compare prices on thousands of products to find out where it will cost you the least.

You can also have a quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab to see how much retailers are selling a particular item for.

We had a quick look online to see if other chains are selling a similar-style hot air balloon solar light, and couldn't find any.

Homebase has one in stock for £10.50 while Amazon has one in stock for £9.49.

Aldi was selling its own version of a hot air balloon solar light for £7, but it's currently unavailable to buy off of its site.

It comes after Home Bargains shoppers were left rushing to buy a "lovely" garden plant scanning for under £4 at the tills.

Savvy savers spotted the Acer plants in store for just £3.79.

Meanwhile, customers were left raving about a designer perfume dupe selling for just £1.99 at the discounter.
