A WOMAN has left people gobsmacked after sharing her intense tanning routine with two back-to-bad sunbed sessions, both more than 20 minutes long.
Despite long being linked to cancer and banned in countries such as Australia and Brazil, sunbeds are still popular in the UK - and in fact, it seems that their use on the rise.
As reported by Refinery29, data from Treatwell shows that in 2023, the bookings for sunbed and tanning booths increased by a staggering 8% from the previous year.
One person to know a little about this is 22-year-old beauty lover Lauren Betts - who recently revealed she tops up her tan with 48-minute long sunbed sessions in one day.
The dark-haired stunner proudly shared the extreme tanning routine on TikTok, leaving social media users horrified and concerned for her health.

In the video, which has since taken the internet by storm, Lauren revealed that she had two back-to-back sessions at different salons, with each one being a 24-minute roast on the sunbed.
At her first stop of the say, the young woman started the session with special nasal sprays, as well as downing a ''tan shot'' and covering her body with a cream to achieve the ultimate bronzed glow.
Once the first tanning session of the day was over, Lauren - who was showing off the dark complexion in a crop top and teeny denim shorts - headed to the next stop, another sunbed salon.

Just like at the previous beauty shop, the 22-year-old was on the sunbed for 24 minutes - bringing the total time to a staggering 48 minutes in one day.
''This is the end result,'' the stunner proudly revealed her glowing body afterwards.
The clip, posted on Lauren's TiKTok page, has so far racked up close to a whopping 520k views in just one day, with hundreds racing to share their thoughts.
But whilst the feedback was mixed, for the most part people seemed to be commenting on the same thing - how long she'd been on two sunbeds.
A fellow sunbed lover said: ''I love me a sunny but 50 mins is crazyyyyy.''
Another agreed, sharing harsh criticism: ''See you in 5 years when your [you're] telling everyone the dangers of sunbeds.

Someone else was totally gobsmacked, writing: ''50 minutes is WILD.''
A fourth shared their horror story, warning Lauren about the dangers.
''I literally got two in one say [day] yesterday now i’m sat in bed with heat stroke and nearly died.''
Thankfully for Lauren, it wasn't all negative, as loads of people also raced to hit back at the trolls and show support.
''You’re so pretty,'' wrote on kind social media user.
''No fair play I can’t last longer than 10 mins,'' someone else chimed in.
''The amount of times I wanted to do this,'' another penned.
