30 years after Nicole Brown Simpson's murder, her loved ones have opened up about her life and how they would like her to be remembered, with her sisters even giving the world a glimpse into the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of O.J. Simpson.

O.J. was famously accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman after they were found stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home. The former NFL player pleaded not guilty after a high-profile trial dubbed the 'trial of the century' that lasted nearly a year. After a case on live TV that sparked mass debates on race, gender, domestic abuse, celebrity justice, and police misconduct, he was acquitted by a jury.

Now, six weeks after OJ's death Nicole's sisters, Dominique, Denise and Tanya Brown, have spoken out, with them speaking of the pain she endured at her ex-husband's hands.

Denise Brown then recalled: "The hitting, the kicking, the punching, the throwing up against walls. 'You're stupid, you're ugly, you're worthless. Nobody's going to want you'." Tanya then added: "My sister lived in hell."

Last month the news broke that O.J. Simpson had died aged 76 after a battle with cancer. Nicole's sisters have spoken of his death, with Tanya describing it as "the end of a chapter" and Denise saying: "At first I was happy, and I was like, relief. And then I was sad for the kids."

A statement posted on his social media accounts read: "On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace."
