Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow has confirmed that he's open to a move to either Arsenal or Liverpool, who he's described as 'two very nice clubs'.

Bijlow, 26, has been identified by Arsenal to replace backup goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who looks set to depart the Emirates in the summer transfer window amid links to Newcastle and Chelsea. Mirror Football recently reported that Bijlow could cost the Gunners £10million, having been in talks to join Manchester United in 2023 before they opted to sign Andre Onana.

But now Liverpool are being tipped to hijack Arsenal's pursuit, as incoming Reds boss Arne Slot managed the Dutchman for the last three seasons and the pair have a strong working relationship. Slot could use his personal touch to bring Bijlow to Anfield, where he'd play second fiddle to undisputed No1. Alisson.

Bijlow is currently busy preparing for this summer's European Championship with the Netherlands but in an interview with Voetbalzone addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his future. "Will I stay at Feyenoord? You never know, do you? That's football, you never know that," the 26-year-old explained.

"I'm ambitious, I've always said that. If the opportunity presents itself and a good club comes from abroad, I am open to it."

Asked specifically about Arsenal and Liverpool, Bijlow replied: "Those are two very nice clubs. Of course it is always nice to be mentioned at big clubs. As I said, I'm ambitious. As long as I play for Feyenoord I will give everything for that and first I just want to focus on the Dutch team."

The Feyenoord academy graduate is especially good on the ball and known for being dominant in one-on-one situations. Those attributes would be greatly beneficial to both Arsenal and Liverpool, who like their goalkeepers to get involved in build-up play, and whose high defensive lines often leave them exposed to conceding counter attacks and big chances.

Unfortunately for Bijlow, he might not have the chance to show the Premier League duo what he's capable of at Euro 2024. A 10-week injury layoff saw him miss the March international double-header, allowing Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken and Brighton's Bart Verbruggen to feature instead. Bijlow has missed a total of 41 games through injury over the last two seasons.

The Netherlands, once again managed by Ronald Koeman, will begin their Euros campaign against Poland in Hamburg on Sunday, June 16 before facing fellow Group D opponents France and Austria.
