Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy 's lawyers are said to be slugging it out in a new WAG war as their bitter feud refuses to fizzle out.

Wayne Rooney's wife is challenging having to pay 20 per cent of the hefty £320,000 legal bill from their 2022 libel battle, it has been claimed. Becky, who is holidaying in Thailand with her husband Jamie, is said to be confident of winning the latest row at the High Court.

The Wagatha Christie case is returning to court again for another dramatic showdown between the women. The specialist judge assessed the costs and expenses during the civil case and ruled how much Coleen could recover. They also have the power to reduce the costs if needed or if they are deemed to be unreasonable. Rebekah seems to be unmoved and has been sharing selfies by the pool at the plush five-star Four Seasons resort.

“Becky is living her best life in Thailand with Jamie and their kids and being dragged back into a war with Coleen is the last thing she wanted but her team will fight to win this round — and then they hope to get Coleen’s costs knocked down later this year," a source told The Sun.

“Becky believes Coleen’s £1.8million costs have been inflated and her team will have their say when they face off for Wag War Three in October. She is staying at a very exclusive resort and they are enjoying a well-earned break as a family. Becky is confident her team will fight her case for her — all while she’s got a cocktail in her hand and the sun on her back.”

Fans were hooked when Coleen revealed she had turned detective to find out who the culprit was after a string of posts from her private Instagram account were sold to the press. In a sting operation, she planted a series of fake stories on her social media, including her travelling to Mexico for a ‘gender selection’ baby and the basement flooding at her home.

She then sensationally posted from all her social media accounts in October 2019: "I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s… Rebekah Vardy ’s account." The now infamous post is what led to the fallout between the two WAGS being dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’.

Though Coleen says she never intended things to go so far, Rebekah denied Coleen’s accusations and launched libel proceedings against her, costing millions of pounds. But in 2022, the court ultimately found in Coleen's favour after a hearing packed with twists and turns. One major moment came when Rebekah sensationally back-tracked, claiming that her former public relations agent Caroline Watt could have leaked the stories to The Sun newspaper.

Caroline had been due to give evidence in support of Rebekah, but she withdrew it before the trial, with the court told this was due to health concerns. During the infamous court case which has since been turned into a West End production, it was claimed Caroline's phone fell into the North Sea while she was filming the Scottish coastline in August 2021, so any texts allegedly discussing Coleen disappeared with it.
