WITH June just days away, the new month promises rising temperatures and sunnier weather.

And this means one thing, it's time to dust off your barbecue to prepare for dinners in the garden.

But when everyone has the same idea, supermarket shelves are often left bare of burgers and meat on sizzling days.

Thankfully, Iceland has got you covered with a bumper freezer pack.

Savvy mum Lorna Cooper, from Paisley, shared her bargain find with her fellow shoppers this week.

Posting on Feed your family for about £20 a week, a public Facebook group with 675,000 followers, the mum of three said: "Need the perfect pack for your Bank Holiday BBQ?

"Look no further than Iceland's 24 Selection Pack - it has everything you need!"

The BBQ selection pack contains eight chicken drumsticks, eight beef burgers and eight pork sausages.

And you can cook the big value pack from frozen, so it's easy to whip out of the freezer when the sunshine makes an appearance.

Iceland bosses say it takes just 10-12 minutes to have everything thoroughly cooked and piping hot on the BBQ.

The discovery comes just in time for some sunshine and warmth sweeping in on Saturday, marking the long-awaited arrival of summer.

At 20C (68F) Glasgow could be the warmest spot in the country, though all parts should see bright spells and temperatures in the high teens.

Alex Burkill of the Met Office said:”Summer is almost here and the weather is going to start to feel a bit more summery as we head through the end of May and beginning of June."

So it's no surprise that savvy shoppers have been raving about the Iceland BBQ pack.

One said: "Used it many a time everything is really tasty."

A second wrote: "We had this on Saturday for barbeque, was nice more than 8 sausages in the bag like it said."

A third added: "I get these if we have a bbq."

"That's a good deal", insisted a fourth.

Meanwhile, a fifth chimed in: "I get these instead of using them in a BBQ there's like 3 different meals in there so I use the items for different meals."

But not everyone is convinced it's as good a deal as people are making out.

"They use to be a fiver last year", somebody fumed.

A second persom echoed: "£8.50 is such a jump when they use to be a fiver a bag."

A third agreed: "I’m sure they used to be £5! That’s a pretty big increase."

"These have gone through the roof with the price", blasted another.

A fifth questioned: "Cheaper to buy fresh separately??"

While a sixth exclaimed: "Increase of £3.50! Wow!"
