Jon Bon Jovi has broken his silence after it was reported his son had got hitched to British actress, Millie Bobby Brown.
The Stranger Things star, 20, who plays Eleven in the smash-hit series, reportedly married Jake Bongiovi, 22, on Friday in a wedding, which was officiated by her co-star, Matthew Modine, who plays Dr Brenner in the Netflix series.
Speaking about the couple's nuptials, Livin' On a Prayer star, Jon Bon Jovi, confirmed on The One Show that Millie and Jake had tied the knot and married in a "small family wedding".
When asked how the newlyweds were doing, he said: “They are great, they are absolutely fantastic. It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true.”
During an interview with the Mirror just before the secret nuptials were revealed, Stranger Things star, Matthew, talked about how it felt to be officiating the wedding.

Revealing how kind Millie and her family had been to him over the years, Matthew said the Browns were "generous and loving" and made him feel like "part of her family". The 65-year-old added that the actress made him and his wife (Caridad Rivera) her "sort of adopted godparents."
Matthew, who has played Dr. Brenner on season one and again in season four of the insanely popular show, had more kind words to say about Jake, calling him a "sweet, bright young man". "I love Jake, you know, Jake Bongiovi," he gushed, adding: "He's such a, such a sweet, sweet, bright, bright young man. I'm just happy, really happy for both of them."
Millie and Jake began dating in 2021, after being seen holding hands in New York, and got engaged in April, 2023. Announcing their engagement, the couple both shared photos of themselves posing together, with Millie in a white lace bridal-like dress. She showed off a diamond ring on her left ring finger and captioned her Instagram with a Taylor Swift lyric: “I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.” Jake captioned his post: "Forever."
In March 2024, Millie shared her proposal story during an appearance on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, admitting she almost lost her engagement ring before she'd had chance to wear it.
Opening up about the mishap, she explained she dropped the sparkler, which was encased in a shell, in the sea, promoting Jake to 'plummet' in and save it. Gushing about his 'heroic' display, she said: “It's a reflection of who he is, and I feel like we’re always going to have each other’s back, and if anyone drops the ball, we got it."
