How much can I earn working in UX?
The salary range for most UX jobs is typically in the £50,000 to £60,000 range, but senior and lead designers can earn up to £70,000.
Jobs combining UX and UI – which stands for user interface – can even pay more than this.
What skills will I need to work in UX?
UX isn’t just a tech job. As you are designing for people to use a product in a better way, you’ll need business and customer service skills too.
As well as the necessary coding skills for a specific role, you’ll need to have strong communication abilities, excellent timekeeping and prioritisation, be able to work as part of a team and be able to handle pressure.
How do I break into the UX sector?
The industry is growing fast, so there are several routes into the sector.
Many firms offer apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships, or you can take a college course.
