The 61-year-old has been out of work since leaving Roma in January.

A two-year deal is understood to be in place, with the option to extend.

Mourinho has taken charge of three Portuguese clubs - Porto, Benfica and U.D. Leiria.
However, he is yet to manage a national team.
Mourinho will take up a different role this weekend when he joins the TNT Sports punditry team for the Champions League final.
