Arsenal enjoyed a brilliant 2023/24 campaign despite narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners finished second behind Manchester City but broke a host of records throughout the season. While the North London side are left to reflect on the campaign, they will now turn their attentions to the next one.

The transfer window does not open for a few weeks. But work is ongoing behind the scenes on the summer transfer window.

A number of stars have already been linked with moves to Arsenal, while some of Arteta’s stars could leave in the near future. With that being said, take a look at the latest headlines coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours:

Martial’s secret Arsenal love

Departing Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has previously revealed that he has a soft spot for Arsenal as he kicks off his search for a new club. The Frenchman confirmed his exit from Old Trafford earlier this week in a lengthy post on social media.

Speaking in 2018, the striker said: "I always followed English football. Manchester United because Patrice Evra was there and he comes from the same town as me.

"I followed Arsenal as Thierry Henry was there, also from Les Ulis. For my French heroes, I had Thierry Henry, of course, and then Zinedine Zidane, Zizou. They were the best. I admired strikers, No.10s. Another player who I really liked was Nicolas Anelka. He was a really great player, quick with loads of skill."

Bijlow ‘open’ to move

Arsenal transfer target and Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow has confirmed that a move to the Premier League could be an option this summer. He has been linked with Arsenal as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsdale.

"Will I stay at Feyenoord? You never know, do you? That's football, you never know that," the 26-year-old explained.

"I'm ambitious, I've always said that. If the opportunity presents itself and a good club comes from abroad, I am open to it."

Arteta in line for payday

Mikel Arteta is in line to become the highest-paid manager in Arsenal history should he pen a new deal at the Emirates. The Spaniard has just a year left on his contract in North London.

There is hope that Arteta will agree to a new deal before the start of next season. And he is in a strong position going into negotiations.

Arteta's new deal is expected to be a record-breaking one from the Gunners' perspective. Plans are already underway on Arteta's summer transfer plans, with a striker targeted before the start of next season.
