While people are speculating about the real reason behind Jennifer Lopez's announcement that she has canceled her summer tour, her representative is saying that she is taking a break. A representative for Live Nation announced on Friday, May 31, that Jen's Summer 2024 Tour 'THIS IS ME...LIVE' will not be happening anymore, saying that "Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends."

Jennifer also sent this special message to her fans through her website, On the JLo. "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again."

"I love you all so much. Until next time," she added.

A rep for the singer reiterated the message from Live Nation saying, "She's taking time off to be with family and close friends. This was a very difficult decision made by Jennifer this week and she's sorry to her fans."

People online have already been making jokes about the cancellation on Twitter, saying that it was due to the lack of demand from fans to go to a JLo concert, but her representative is denying those rumors. "This decision was NOT made around ticket sales - the tour was actually doing well in most key cities and there had been a good uptick," the rep said.

The news comes amid a series of reports that Jen's marriage to Ben Affleck was on the rocks. The couple had reportedly been living apart and hadn't been spotted together since March. They have since been on outings together, showing off their wedding rings. Jen has been working on a slew of films back to back since she reunited with Ben in 2021. Most recently, she has been promoting Atlas, and her Prime Video movies This Is Me and The Greatest Story Never Told.

Jen was supposed to start the tour around North America on June 26, starting in Orlando Florida. She was also scheduled to hit other cities like Miami, Las Vegas, New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia. Fans who purchased through Ticketmaster, the tickets will automatically be refunded.
