Several videos have emerged on TikTok, each showing a woman claiming to be a Tesco employee and naming a different male "pervert manager" who they say made advances at them

A TikTok scam is designed to con Tesco shoppers into sharing their card details and personal data on the promise of a £750 money-off voucher.

Several videos have emerged on the social media app, each showing different women in Tesco uniforms with the caption they "were fired after rejecting a pervert manager". The first name of different men then follow the caption in brackets, such as "Paul".

One clip, for instance, has the caption: "After working at Tesco for 3 years... I got fired because I rejected my pervert manager. So I’m exposing everything that we weren’t allowed to tell anyone."

It then cuts to serious claims, such as managers at the supermarket "get free stuff," for which other employees have to pay. All these claims - built by the TikTokers as trade secrets - are unverified and The Mirror has contacted Tesco about the allegations.

And then, the videos cut to encourage users to sign up to a website, in which they leave their personal information, for a £750 Tesco giftcard. It says: "They don’t advertise this of course – greedy Tesco."

At the Tesco-branded website link shared – TesReviewer.com – users are directed to another – nationalconsumerscenter.co.uk – which requires they take a short survey, before requesting personal information. It asks victims to take up a ‘paid subscription’ and share card details in order to receive the deal. Nationalconsumerscenter.co.uk has been widely reported as a scam website, and is understood to have also been behind a similar Asda-branded scam.

Some TikTok users have become suspicious of the posts. One user said: "It’s fully all lies. Drives me crazy, I see so many and all the comments believe it." Another user said: "This is clearly a scam."

The Mirror has contacted Tesco for a comment on the scam. It follows a similar episode which saw gleeful Sainsbury’s shoppers use fraudulent coupons. Some customers were able to load their trolleys with free shopping after the voucher "hack" spread online last month.

Videos again shared on TikTok showed customers using a screenshot of the voucher multiple times at self-service checkouts - resulting in them paying far less than they should have. One delighted customer took to the social media site to brag about taking advantage of the deal, saying "by 10pm I’m back in the house with £441 worth of shopping for £6".
