HE'S one of Britain's best-known movie stars, and was all but unrecognisable as he was transformed for a new role.
The actor was spotted on the set of A Gentleman In Moscow for the first time in character.

In the new drama, Ewan will play the role of Count Alexander Rostov, an aristocrat during the Russian revolution.

In a statement at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Ewan said: "It's an amazing, wonderful story and I am very excited to get to play such a fabulous role."
Production is ongoing for the live action adaptation of Amor Towles’ novel, for Paramount Plus and US streaming service Showtime.
He will also star alongside his wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 38, their first project, for which he is also a producer, since getting married in April of 2022.
Ewan is best known for playing Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy from 1999 - 2005.
He later reprised the role in the Disney Plus miniseries, Obi-Wan Kenobi in 2022.
He's also received critical acclaim for parts in the likes of Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge and for his TV projects like Fargo and Halston.
