Andrew Tate has sent a cryptic tweet about an attack from "The Matrix" after being rushed to hospital amid his 30-day spell in a Romanian jail.
The four-time kickboxing world champion was arrested last month in connection with an investigation into alleged human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group. Both he and his brother Tristan, 34, were detained for 24 hours before a judge granted police a further 30 days to detain them in a detention centre.
And Andrew, 36, has maintained a steady social media presence despite being in the middle of a 30-day period behind bars, with his verified Twitter account posting regularly. His latest tweet came just hours after Romanian news channel Antena 3 CNN reported that one of the Tate brothers was rushed to hospital after a "routine medical check".
Tate's account, which is followed by over 4.4million people and is his main social media outlet after being banned en masse from every other platform last year for his controversial and at time misogynist views, posted a screenshot of a news story about his hospital visit with the caption: "The Matrix has attacked me. But they misunderstand, you cannot kill an idea. Hard to Kill."
News reports don't specify which one of the Tate brothers was taken to hospital, and it is believed that whether it was Andrew or Tristan that they are now back in custody. This isn't the first time that Andrew has claimed "The Matrix", what he and his brother call the powers that be in media, politics and big tech corporations has taken aim at him.
Mirror Football's Premier League team of 2022 as champions dominateWhile he was being led from his plush home to police custody in December, the elder Tate brother told cameras recording the scene that "The Matrix has attacked me". In his first message after the arrest, a tweet from his account read "The Matrix sent their agents", and after he was sentenced to a further 30 days he added that "The Matrix will only tell you what the Matrix needs you to believe."
Both Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in connection with allegedly forming an organised crime group which used girls in adult videos. They are also being investigated by the the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) in connection with human trafficking and rape allegations.
Days before his arrest, Andrew Tate found himself in a Twitter spat with climate activist Greta Thunberg when he bragged about the "massive emissions" from his Bugatti. She responded by declaring that he had "small d*** energy" and should "get a life", before mocking him for his arrest in a later post, both of which ended up in the top 10 most liked tweets in history.
He is no stranger to a celebrity feud, and has been talked about as a potential opponent for a number of famous YouTube boxers including Logan or Jake Paul and KSI. The Brit called him out last August after his 'two fights in one night' gimmick boxing event, while Logan continues to take jabs at the former kickboxing champion.
