STEPHEN Merchant has revealed he is working on a third series of The Outlaws.
It became one of the BBC’s biggest comedy launches, so there was no surprise when a second then swiftly followed.
Stephen said: “I’ve had a lovely response to The Outlaws.
"I’ve had a few people stop me on the stairs – that’s mainly why I come out.
“We’re toying with a few ideas at the moment so hopefully we’ll do a third series.

“You want to start from the writing perspective and fill in the blanks.
“But it would be nice to work with someone like Michael Caine, who I’ve always been a big fan of but have never got a chance to work with. Those kinds of British icons, that would be a privilege.”
After signing Hollywood actor Christopher Walken for the launch, anything is possible.
