A GUN thug who shot at the home of gangland target Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel’s mum is back on the streets after serving less than half of her prison sentence.

Courtney McCreaddie, 26, was part of a four-strong mob who targeted the house of Annette Daniel, sister of the late Glasgow crime boss Jamie Daniel, in 2017.

She was given eight years behind bars in July 2019 following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

But she was freed from HMP Polmont in November 2022 and now lives in Newmains, Lanarkshire.

The move emerged as she appeared for sentence at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday after admitting having a SIM card behind bars in May 2022.

McCreaddie wore designer clobber including a Balenciaga shoulder bag and garish mauve Nike trainers.

Defence solicitor Abby Russell said: “She is very apprehensive about custody for this offence.

“She was released from a lengthy sentence in November.

“My client seems to be doing well - she is now in the best place that she has ever been.

“She has close contact with her family.

“The reason for the SIM card was that she was in lockdown in prison and could not get visits from her family.”

Her brief told Sheriff Simon Collins she was a qualified hairdresser but was currently unemployed - and begged for a non-custodial disposal.

Ms Russell said unpaid work could be problematic because McCreaddie had ‘sore hands’ from a car accident and struggled with her mental health.

The sheriff said: “She has a serious record.

“If she was still in prison, it would be a further three months added to her sentence.”

He warned: “If I put her on a CPO as an alternative to custody and I then receive a breach report saying she has done no unpaid work, I’ll send her back to prison.”

He gave her 150 hours work to be completed within 12 months and supervision for the same amount of time.

We told how McCreaddie was one of four gun thugs nailed in 2019 for attacking the home of gangland target Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel’s mum.

Chloe Walker, Zach Bennett, Ian Moyes and McCreaddie blasted a window at the house — just weeks after her son was slashed in a machete ambush.

Cops snared the gang when a photo of Walker, 26, posing in her underwear with the gun emerged.

Another showed Bennett, 31, appearing to snort white powder from her bum with the weapon in view.

At their trial at the High Court in Glasgow, Annette, 61 — sister of late crime boss Jamie — told how she was cradling a child in the early hours of July 7, 2017 when she heard a car.

Daniel then recalled hearing two “bangs” she thought were fireworks.

But in a call to her jailed drug-dealing nephew Zander Sutherland, she asked: “Did you know my windows got shot at?”

Chloe Walker’s car was torched in a suspected revenge arson attack last July after she was released early.
